TDG powers electrification of Clark International Airport

On 2024 May 22, Transnational Diversified Group (TDG) through its member companies EVOxTerra, EVOxCharge, Transnational Aviation Support Services (TASS), and Clark Airport Support Services (CASS) inaugurated the first-ever electric charging station and electric-powered ground support equipment (GSEs) at Clark International Airport.

This historic event marked a significant milestone in the country's journey towards sustainability through the collaborative efforts of the said companies towards a greener future in aviation.

The inauguration in Pampanga was a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and environmental stewardship, drawing together key stakeholders, industry leaders, government officials, partners and friends. On ground at the airport's bustling tarmac, attendees gathered to witness the unveiling of this groundbreaking initiative, which promised to redefine the way airports approach ground handling operations.

Attendees witnessed the operation of the electric-powered equipment and vehicles, recognizing the importance of electrification in reducing carbon emissions and mitigating the environmental impact of ground handling operations in support of air travel.

Following the ribbon cutting, remarks from executives of TASS and CASS highlighted the importance of the electric charging station and electric-powered GSEs in driving sustainable practices within the aviation sector. They underscored the significance of the partnership between EVOxTerra, EVOxCharge, TASS/CASS, and TLD (GSE provider) in turning this vision into reality and emphasized their shared commitment to environmental responsibility and technological innovation.

Included as ground service equipment are full electric BAW passenger vans, tug-E luggage loaders, and baggage tractors.

“The concept of electrification is not just limited to cars on our roads. As we know, mobility (in general) is present in different aspects, may it be on the ground, in the air, or at sea. Today, we mark a significant milestone as we move towards sustainable mobility,” said Daniel Ventanilla, Chief Operating Officer, TDG Logistics and Shipping Cluster.

“With the comprehensive approach of offering both electric vehicles and EV chargers, TDG aims to push forward the complete EV ecosystem as we move towards green mobility. With less emissions produced, we are able to offer a greener future to our next generation,” added Rashid Delgado, CEO, TDG Logistics and Shipping Cluster and Group Co-CEO, TDG.

The inauguration served as a reminder of the aviation industry's capacity for innovation and its ability to effect positive change on a global scale. TASS and CASS serve as pioneers towards the move to sustainable aviation, innovation and progress in the years to come.
